Is Occupy Wall Street a communist movement? Is it being run by socialists who wish to bring down the free enterprise system? As you will see in this article, the answer to both questions is yes. Of course many of the people participating in these protests want nothing to do with either socialism or communism. Many of the protesters are simply angry at the big banks or they just want something to be done about the economy. But the truth is that when you take a close look at the “organizers”, the literature and the stated goals of this movement, you see socialism and communism everywhere. As our economic system crumbles, an increasing number of Americans are coming out of the woodwork and are proudly declaring that they are socialists or communists. An increasing number of Americans truly believe that the free enterprise system needs to be brought down and that the answer to our problems is to fully embrace socialism and/or communism. Sadly, this puts Occupy Wall Street in direct opposition to what our founding fathers intended.
If you want to know what these protests are all about, just go down and visit one of them. The following is what Charles Gasparino of the New York Post found when he recently took a trip down to Zuccotti Park….
It’s not an overstatement to describe Zuccotti Park as New York’s Marxist epicenter. Flags with the iconic face of the Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara are everywhere; the only American flag I saw was hanging upside down. The “occupiers” openly refer to each other as “comrade,” and just about every piece of literature on offer (free or for sale) advocated socialism in the Marxist tradition as a cure-all for the inequalities of the American economic system.
Wow.
Yes, there are millions upon millions of Americans that are upset with the big banks and with the rampant corruption down on Wall Street.
But is “socialism in the Marxist tradition” the answer to all of our problems?
Of course not.
During his visit, Gasparino also picked up some very interesting literature….
Maybe the worse-spent dollar I have ever spent in my life was on a propaganda broadsheet titled “Justice,” which advocates “Struggle, Solidarity, Socialism.” On the front page of the newspaper-like document, beneath the headline “Capitalism: System Failure,” was a tease for a story on the economy and how “influential business economist Nouriel Roubini” recently said how “Karl Marx had it right. At some point, capitalism can destroy itself.”
But it is not just in New York where you find this sort of thing.
For example, a stunning report from a visitor to Occupy Charlotte was recently posted:
An organizer began reading a script in the way that a minister reads wedding vows, with pauses for the audience to repeat each phrase. The first order of business was an agreement that organizing committee names would be drawn from a hat. The inner circle were known to each other in advance. I could not see the hat, or the people drawing the names, so I can’t say exactly what happened, but I can conjecture.
In any case, organizers were selected from the hat. The very next order of business, I kid you not, was “All socialists will huddle at such-and-such area.”
Silence. The rest of us are wondering, OK, are they going to suggest any other groups? Next announcement: organize in small groups any way you want.
The self-identified socialists huddle. By some miraculous coincidence, the anointed leaders are all socialists.
This is what you will find in city after city. Most of the “leaders” somehow happen to be socialists of one sort or another.
It should be no surprise that Communist Party USA has officially endorsed the Occupy Wall Street protests.
In fact, communist leaders have been speaking at many of the protests. For example, a spokesperson for the national board of Communist Party USA spoke to Occupy Chicago the other day. As you can see from the video posted below, his remarks were greeted with tremendous enthusiasm….
In the video, you can also see protesters marching with Occupy Chicago that are carrying communist flags and that are wearing shirts promoting Communist Party USA.
In this next video, an “organizer” of the Occupy Greensboro protests explains what this “movement” is really all about….
***”We’re the International Socialists Organization… Our goal is to raise political consciousness to build a revolutionary party and work for a revolution here in the United States.”***
***”The problem is capitalism… We need a new system that’s going to put people first and put profit back to the wasteland of history.”***
***”Socialism is the solution. We need a society where everything is produced to meet human needs and wants rather than to make money off of them.”***
The truth is that the goals of the Occupy Wall Street movement are not some great mystery. They have put them out there for everyone to see.
The following are some of the things that they want….
*Much higher taxes on the wealthy
*The government to provide health care for all Americans
*The EPA to be given the power to shut down any corporation or organization that is damaging the environment
*Student loan debt relief
*Immediate passage of the Dream Act
*Mortgage debt relief and for all underwater and foreclosed mortgages to be bought and refinanced at interest rates of less than one percent
*An immediate one year freeze on all foreclosures
Basically, what the protesters are demanding is a much larger federal government that takes from the wealthy and that gives lots of stuff to them for free.
An increasing number of Americans believe that things such as housing, college education and health care are “rights” that the government should be required to provide for them.
This is especially true among our young people. We have trained them to have an “entitlement mindset”, but we have not trained them to work hard for what they want out of life.
Yes, our economy is a complete and total mess, but the answer is not socialism.
Our nation once had an economy that was the envy of the entire globe. Our free enterprise system was at the heart of that economic boom.
We need to get back to what once made this country great. We don’t want to go down the path that so many other nations have gone down in the past.
How much farther do we want to go?
Socialism is not the answer.
Communism is not the answer.
Hopefully America will wake up and will remember what once made us so great.

Unfortunately for you cbl, you’re wrong. I agree that OWS SHOULD be about what you said. Problem is ITS NOT. Look at the facts. Look at your leaders. Look who’s grabbing the megaphone and mics at all the events. People like Van Jones (once admitted communist, who has recanted since), Jed Brandt (Outspoken, known militant Communist), Lisa Fithian (well known anarchist behind the violence at the Seattle GTO conference and the GOP convention in Texas). The list goes on. OWS is a Communist revolution. Make no mistake about it. They care not how much your oil is. They care about civil unrest and taking down America.
Just because you think it’s not, does not make it so. Look at the leadership. Look hard. Ask Lots of questions. Do yourself a favor and visit just one of the rallies in a major city. You will notice the Communist and Socialist faction makes up greater than 75% of the protesters. This is not a lie. This is not misinformation. Look for yourself and see with your own eyes.

What the Blogger of this site FAILS to mention is that the streets/parks of America are wide open for anyone to use…there is NO WAY that ANY “Occupy” location can stop any OTHER GROUP from coming to THEIR location and do “their” Thing…IT would be Hypocrite of the ” OCCUPY Group” to Tell another Group TO GET LOST.. stop paying attention to a few bad apples and look at the big issue here. would you hate all italians because of the mafia? and would you hate this person because of it even though you grew up on the same block and knew eachother? and would that mean that you now share the same views that can be labeled mafia views haha whatever that may be. Throw out the Communist leadership, and focus your attention towards the government instead of Wall Street and I will join you.
there is no communist leadership. these are people of all walks of life that have the realization that capitalism is not working and needs to be fixed. there have been corruption in the past all through our history with these rich elitest gambling with our money. one idea is that there should be some oversight on the market place and not get outta control like it has become. this will never happen unless greed and bigoted like behavior is wiped out of our souls. we won’t see this for a long time until we all come together…i know one thing though, it won’t be got by violence or mistrust toward our peaceful nieghboors either.
The people you refer to from “All walks of life” are the pawns. They are the unwitting participants in a movement that is 100% a communist revolution. The movement will never garner public support as long as the communists control the weak, and I will be there to expose it.
again the ows movement is not communist. this is a movement against greed. why is that so hard to understand? this is a world wide issue and the people are pawns no more! the people have woken up to injustice as a whole. have you not read about these big corporations using poor people in other countries to make clothing and other products for barely anything while they sit back and get rich? or even the made-for-debt scheme of colleges that know that if your not making a pretty penny that you inevitably will be in? or the dozen other atrocities in the name of capitalism? these people are not saying that capitalism is inherently bad, it’s just the way these people with an extravagant abundance of this country’s wealth have been running things. was it the dirty smelling idiot hippies that you are refering to that created this economic near collapse? and i agree the government is partly responsible, but wouldn’t you say that these people with billions of dollars have just a little bit of influence over things? just a lilttle bit? and it’s funny that you hate socialism so much. you’ll name the bad apple’s in the bunch, but what about norway which has a cushy 11% budget surplus, zero national debt, and an economy that grew 3% last year, while uncle sam was dancing into a 12.9% deficit, 11trillion dollars in debt, and the recession we all know and love. capitalsim is no exception to “bad apple’s” and neither is any system for that matter. i think we must learn from these people’s mistakes and grow from it instead of wanting to pit side against one another and creating concepts to a slew of uneducted people in the process of change, in which the majority of americans want to make a more peaceful and greed free place. without all the fighting, violence,greed, or bigot- like behavior that has run amuck in this country for far too long . again, until we eliminate greed and material possesion as the goal of a “good life” we will always screw up whether the name we give to a sytem be capitalism, socialism,communism,etc.. “only after the last tree has been cut down, only after the last river has been poisoned, only after the last fish has been caught, only then will you find money cannot be eaten.”–native american cree prophesy. was good talkin to you friend, i hope some of our differences have been resolved. if not its still ok… truth always comes to light and will shine on us both regardless of our differences. –peace*

And if so, are you aware of the article written by the site’s host about the news publication “Occupied Wall Street Journal?”
And if you are, are you aware that publication is published by Jed Brandt, noted and outspoken Communist organizer?
And if you were, have you ever seen him in this video talking about mobilizing the ethnic groups through express and implied racism to band together to join the Communist movement and take over the United States? I was at the Occupy Chicago Rally on Oct 15th. They told a Nazi to get lost en masse. Y can’t they tell the communists to get lost? Ill tell you why. Because they would be telling themselves to get lost and noone would be left.
