During Occupy Chicago’s first major rally, it was noted, by citizen journalist, Rebel Pundit, that there was not a single American Flag in the whole rally. When Rebel Pundit asked US Rep Jan Schakowsky if this was patriotic, she replied with “Yes”.
Oddly enough, later that evening, in a quick attempt to discredit Rebel’s question, a single photograph was found of Jan Schakowsky with an American Flag in it, (along with a communist party member or two.) That brings us to today, October 15, 2011, during Global Occupy Day, where the Occupy Chicago movement, starting at the fed building on LaSalle and Jackson, moved to their new “permanent” home at Congress Plaza. Having learned their lesson from Rebel Pundit’s catch of the October 15th rally, they adorned the protesters with a very large American Flag, holding up the end of the protest line. A kind of, “See we told you we were patriotic.”
I was almost ready to give them credit, until I noticed in my replay of video footage I had just shot, that they are literally DRAGGING Old Glory along the pavement in front of the Fed. At least 3 or 4 people are walking idly by, while the rest of the group DRAGS our Star Spangled Banner into position. Once they realize they are on film, a quick effort is made to pretend they care, and they line up some volunteers to assist with carrying the flag.
Now that a sufficient amount of volunteers is holding the top, left and right side of this enormous flag, they start flailing the flag repeatedly on the ground, as NOONE is holding the bottom. This went on for a good five minutes, before this writer could not take anymore and forged onward to find more signs of anarchy, socialism and communism. (By the way, I would have to say that at least half the protesters seemed to associate with either the Socialist party, the Communist Party or both. I have much footage of the loud cheers and standing ovations when any Socialist or Communist took the Mic. That will come later in the week. It’s been a long day, but i wanted you all to have at least a taste of what we witnessed today.)

I’m sorry wall street does not understand the concept of separation of corporation and state. But it is going to come. The movements are not going away. As much as you want them to.
And by the way- anarchy would involve your republican redneck 2nd amendment, where the occupiers would be shooting people.

Clarification:
Your definition of anarchy is null and void. The occupation movements are a peaceful protest. No occupier has ever fired a weapon at or killed their opposition, the police, or any protestors, or anyone- of any kind.
Still- the judgmental capitalist abusers really do need to take a step back, and look at the problems they have created. These movements are going to stay, and are increasing each day.
Maybe if some of you really cared, maybe enough people would have held up the flag. And realize what exxon/valdez had done in 1989 and why this idea of separation of corporation and state- has existed since then- long before any occupy movement. Now- its just starting to become visible to others- 20 years later.
